UK Fundraising founder Howard Lake joins the supporter360 design team

appiChar, one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK and Australia has today announced that it will be joining forces with Howard Lake, the founder of UK Fundraising and internationally renowned fundraising commentator to help design supporter360, appiChar’s soon-to-be released supporter relationship management and fundraising platform.

appiChar founder and chairman, Ian Ryder said “Howard is one of the leading thinkers in the sector, particularly around social media and how not-for-profit organisations can benefit from emerging technologies. He will help us shape the direction of supporter360 with regards to social media and to make sure it gives our customers the perfect platform to interact with supporters in every way they choose.”

About Howard Lake Howard Lake is a digital fundraising entrepreneur, and has worked in the fundraising sector for over 20 years. After working for Oxfam, Afghanaid and Amnesty International, he set up UK Fundraising (www.fundraising.co.uk) in 1994, the world’s first web resource for professional fundraisers. He wrote the first book on online fundraising in 1996, and since then has trained thousands of fundraisers in all aspects of digital fundraising.

Consistently voted in the 50 most influential in fundraising by readers of Fundraising magazine, he has been a judge for the last five years at the Institute of Fundraising’s National Fundraising Awards. He remains convinced of the power of digital tools to help support and transform the effectiveness and impact of fundraisers.
